This 7' x 5' acrylic painting commemorates Bill Gates, Sr., in a new building for the Gates Cambridge Trust. The building is a gathering place and workspace for the trust's international scholars.
‘Flying Together’ is an extension of the ‘Showing Up Together’ installation at the Seattle Gates Foundation.
I penned this poem to accompany the artwork:
We gather at the river,
And carry on our wings
Seeds of possibility
And universal dreams.
Planting them along the shore
To nurture and to grow,
So they can climb and intertwine.
Nature bends with humankind
In endless garden space and time
Where we are all connected.
